WAF Usage

WAF can be used to protect integrations, especially REST type integrations. The customer is responsible for contracting the WAF and also for its management.

At a macro level, the activation process is:

• Change DNS to the WAF provider.
• Configure the WAF provider "upstream" to the DNS ALIAS.
  • It is important that the WAF maintains the host header of the original request, which is the default behavior in most vendors.

WARNING

With the use of WAF, TLS termination will occur at the WAF layer itself.
